Redmond9.com is a pilot project set forth to promote 21st
Century teaching and learning. The goal is to spotlight the collaborative efforts of teachers and students from all 50 United States
and will eventually expand to cooperating countries.
Specifically, teachers and students will develop and share a
unique mystery challenge from their home city and state. Each
entry will include a picture of the mystery item or location,
leading questions about the entry, expert text about the entry,
and contact information so that follow up conversations can
occur between those who post the mystery challenge and those who
complete the mystery challenge.
Teachers are encouraged to work with students of all grade levels to create and solve mystery
challenges from each state. Through the use of the Microsoft Innovative Teachers Network (ITN), teachers will demonstrate that they can work together digitally to create truly innovative student projects.
In addition to creating mystery challenges for the 50 states, there will also be an international goal of working together globally to create challenges from countries all around the world.
This phase of the project will truly promote the spirit of
21st Century Skills. To learn more about this project visit the Microsoft Innovative Teachers Network and join the redmond.com community.
